Privacy Policy

Future Contractors of America LLC (�FCA,� �we,� �us�) operates Calyndra� and Caly� as an AAC guidance system for caregivers and learners. Children do not consent to data collection. We act with elevated restraint.

What we collect

On your device (local only):

• Chat history (last 20 messages) stored in your browser�s localStorage
• Saved favorites (responses and vocabulary notes) stored in localStorage
• Your selected audience mode (caregiver, toddler, child, teen, adult)

This local data never leaves your device unless you copy or share it yourself. We do not sync it to the cloud.

When you send a message to Caly (server processing):

• The text of your message and optional vocabulary term
• Your selected audience band (e.g., toddler, caregiver)
• A request identifier and timestamp

Messages are sent to our Azure Function App and processed by Azure OpenAI (deployment caly-speak) to generate Caly�s response. We do not use your messages to train OpenAI�s public models.

Audit metadata (no message content):

• Audience band, message length, cryptographic fingerprint of the message (not the text itself), outcome, and timestamp
• Stored in Azure Table Storage for safety and operations review

What we do not collect

• Child names, photos, diagnoses, or medical records
• Persistent learner profiles beyond your family sign-in (invite-only beta accounts; no child accounts)
• Precise location or advertising identifiers
• Behavioral rankings, deficit labels, or diagnostic inferences

How we use data

• Generate AAC and caregiver guidance responses
• Maintain system safety, rate limits, and incident review
• Improve governance and reliability (aggregate metadata only)

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. We do not use your messages for third-party advertising.

Caregiver control

Per CAL-DATA-v0, caregivers should be able to understand what exists:

• Local data: Clear your browser site data or use �Remove� on favorites to delete local entries.
• Server audit: Contact privacy@futurecontractorsofamerica.com to ask what metadata we retain for a time window.
• Export: Copy favorites or chat history from the app UI for sharing with professionals.

Children�s privacy

Calyndra is designed for use with adult caregivers supervising communication support. When a child uses the interface, a caregiver should be present. We minimize data collection, avoid identity linkage where possible, and assume data may one day be reviewed by the individual who was once a child.

Security

API traffic uses HTTPS. Azure resources are isolated from other FCA products. Access to operational data is role-bounded and auditable. No system is perfectly secure; report concerns to the contact below.

Third parties

• Microsoft Azure � hosting, Azure OpenAI inference, Table Storage audit
• GitHub � open-source governance corpus (no user messages)

We do not share message content with data brokers or ad networks.

Changes

Material expansions of data scope require justification and risk review per CAL-DATA-v0. We will update this page and the effective date when practices change.
